The first official release of RIVE: Ultimate Edition is now live on Windows, Mac and Linux! Thank you so much for your patience and feedback during the beta. We’re very proud to finally release the game.
We’ve also released the first DLC: Challenges and Battle Arenas 1.0. It includes two new modes:
– In Challenge mode, you can replay any completed campaign level with different settings (for example: more health, more enemies, less time, etc). Can you beat your own score? Or even better: can you beat the score of a friend?
– In Battle Arena mode, you fight wave after wave of enemies in specially designed arenas. Each arena has its own challenges, leaderboards and rewards. Can you become the ultimate arena champion?
RIVE Challenges and Battle Arenas is a metal wrecking, robot hacking shooter. Choose your side in this two-player co-op campaign. You can either go it alone or join forces and fight the good fight together against the Common Enemy.

RIVE: Challenges and Battle Arenas 1.0 is a free downloadable content (DLC) pack for the 2016 shooter video game RIVE. It was released on March 28, 2017, for Microsoft Windows, macOS, Linux, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The DLC adds two new gameplay modes: Challenges and Battle Arenas.
In Challenges mode, players must complete a set of objectives within a time limit. There are three difficulty levels to choose from. Battle Arenas is a competitive multiplayer mode in which players must score points by destroying enemy ships.
RIVE: Ultimate Edition includes the full game, the glorious SHMUP campaign Starswarm Invasion, the challenging arena mode The Swarm and the hilarious Watchtower campaign. It also comes packed with all weapon and bot upgrades, making it the definitive RIVE experience!

This game features unique twin-stick controls and explosive game-play. It’s a shooting/platformer hybrid set in the year 2104 on a space junk collector ship. RIVE is a hardcore arcade shooter and platformer packed with tons of missions, secrets and upgrades. RIVE was released on PC, Mac, Linux, PS4 and Xbox One on September 13th, 2016.
The game starts off with the player’s ship crash-landing on an unknown planet. The player then must fight their way through hordes of enemies to find a way off the planet.
RIVE is split up into two main gameplay types: the shooter sections and the platforming sections. The shooter sections have the player fighting their way through waves of enemies, while the platforming sections have the player traversing through dangerous environments.
There are a total of nine stages in RIVE, each with its own unique challenges and secrets to discover. Upon completing a stage, the player will be awarded with medals based on their performance. These medals can then be used to unlock new content, such as bonus stages and extra ship upgrades.
RIVE was developed by Two Tribes, a Dutch independent game development studio known for creating other popular titles such as Toki Tori and EDGE. RIVE was published by IndiePub Games.
